A warm June night sees PRR 2944 quietly
sitting in Lakehurst. The GP38s are becoming scarce on the line as
more GP40-2s are seen. |
 |
And speaking of the GP40-2s, here is CSX
4441. The Conrail paint is very bright and very fresh. |
 |
The following morning I got up early and
made my way to Red Bank to catch the SA35 coming onto the NJCL. This
is a normal Saturday occurrence between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. |
 |
A hazy, June 22, 2001 morning sees a train
approaching Farmingdale. |
 |
After cutting off cars for Gold Lumber,
the train crosses Route 547/524. This grade crossing is one a few
grade crossings on the line that has gates. |
 |
The train leaves the Southern Secondary
to drill Gold Lumber. |
 |
Later that night, the train is laying over
in Lakehurst. |
 |
As the sun sets on a warm July night, the
SA35 is parked on the Toms River Industrial Track as opposed to its usual
place under the Route 70 overpass. |
